STEP 3 – Vision Baseline

Video Nystagmography Testing

  • Tracking (i.e. smooth pursuit of target)
  • Quick Eye Movements (i.e. saccades)
  • Gaze Stability
  • Optokinetic Testing

Infrared camera observation, recording, and playback of eye movements is the standard for evaluation of the system for our balance and orientation within our environment.

This equipment provides simultaneous subjective observation of the individual’s eye movements and objective collection and analysis of eye movement during both testing and rehabilitation. Eye movements can also be appreciated as a reflection of how an individual’s brain is functioning while appreciating any asymmetries in function between left and right hemispheres.
